Today I want to share a simple but tasty recipe of mango jelly as my grandfather prepared it
ingredients
6 large green handles
1 3/4 cups sugar
Juice of half a lemon
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp allspice (guayabita)
5 cloves
Lemon zest

Peel the mangoes and boil them until they soften. Cool and do not throw away water.
When they are cold, separate the pulp from the seeds with a knife.
In a blender or food processor, blend the pulp with some of the water where you cooked them.
Add sugar and other ingredients and mix well.
I cooked over medium-high heat always stirring with a wooden spoon, until it starts bubbling and thicker. It takes about 10 minutes. Let bubble a couple of minutes before turning off.
Let cool down a little to serve in your favorite fountain. Refrigerate to make it thicker. Enjoy!
