#video Nederland herdenkt met operatie Market Garden (de Slag om Arnhem) de dappere strijders die vochten voor onze vrijheid. Bij de luchtlandingsoperatie (Market) en het gelijktijdige grondoffensief (Garden) kwamen veel geallieerde militairen om het leven. 18.000 van hen werden gedood, krijgsgevangen gemaakt of raakten gewond.

That was a terrible time, especially for the people who experienced it themselves at the time. In that respect, the war in Ukraine suddenly takes that time a lot closer.

@Dewaputra yes that's for sure. They came down here on a burning moor lit by the Germans who had been tipped off. It must have been terrible.
