Meaning of the Pink Ribbon
Pink Ribbon

The pink ribbon is an international symbol used by individuals, companies and organizations committed to raising awareness about breast cancer
The main objective of the Pink Ribbon is to raise awareness about breast cancer. ~ Prevención: prevenir el cáncer de mama. ~ Detección: descubrir información del cáncer de mama. ~ Cura: maneras de curar el cáncer de mama. ~ Cuidados: ofreciendo atención.
The first pink ribbon was introduced by the Susan G Foundation. Komen of Breast Cancer, who gave pink visors to breast cancer survivors who were running in the Marathon for the Cure since late 1990. A couple of months later, in 1991 each participant of the New York City Race received a pink ribbon, however the ribbon was not of great importance to them, as it was more a small detail than such an important event.
