There are love stories and then there's Michael Caine and his wife Shakira Baksh. It all started when Michael first saw Shakira in a commercial where she was going out as a background dancer and her words after seeing her were: “My heart began to beat faster and the palms of my hands began to sweat,” said Michael.

Michael was arrowed when they closed up his face and knew he had to find it so he looked for the agency that produced the commercial in Brazil, and in his wishes that he could meet her decided to travel to the Canary country.. Arriving there she went to a bar where she found a person and after telling her the story she was surprised that she did not live in Brazil, this person told her that she actually lived in London.. So Michael returns to his country so he could contact her and after several attempts and being rejected he got her out with him..

I know this all seems like a coincidence, but that's how it really happened and until today they've been married for 48 years and they have two children.

For love we are able to do so many things, even traveling to another country, but the interesting thing is that Caine didn't give up. Sometimes we let opportunities go through for fear of being rejected without knowing what we can achieve if we try.
