Million Pound Menu on Netflix

One of my favorite shows on Netflix is Million Pound Menu. In Million Pound Menu, selected participants get the chance to run a pop-up restaurant for two days. On the first day, they run a trial, errors can be made that can be fixed later, and they can see what can be improved or changed. On the second day, nothing should go wrong, everything should go well. Then the interested investors decide whether they want to continue with the participants or not.
The great thing about this program is that you can see that running a restaurant is not as easy as it seems at first glance, that there is more to it than you expect. At the end of each program, you are really in tension with the participants, whether the investors are coming or not and how much they want to invest in the restaurant. Some investors drop out, others work with several participants and a single participant is told by an investor that the time is not yet right for them, but that they want to help the participant eventually open a restaurant, that they can first gain more experience in the investor's restaurant. I really like the fact that such an investor still sees opportunities, but I also understand why some investors leave some participants, especially if it is someone who does not want to make a hundred percent commitment, but also wants to keep doing other things on the side. With some participants, I was really sorry that they ultimately turned out to be not interested.
It's a shame that Million Pound Menu only ran for two seasons. Hopefully, there will be a third season, because it is a fun and educational program. What would also be nice is that there will be a retrospective program where participants from previous seasons tell how they are doing and whether their dream has come true and whether their restaurant is going well.
