During my study in Communication Sciences, I learned #mindmappen . And recently I was able to apply this method again, with the 140w writing command of Frutselenindemargin. The assignment was to write a story of 140 words. The theme was, “Autumn Storm.” And to get a little inspiration, mind folders came in handy.

What is mind folders?

Actually, just organizing your thoughts. You pick out a subject, giving you ideas that you would not have thought of in the first instance. Wikipedia describes it as follows:

A mind map is a diagram made up of concepts, texts, relationships and/or pictures, which are arranged in the form of a tree structure around a central theme.
Another example

App, softwares or paper

You can now use mind folders with a app , there is also (free) softwares available, but I do it the way I learned it: with pen and paper.

Back to the example. So the theme was: autumn storm. I cut the word in half: autumn and storm.
When I fall, I think of forest. At forest to trees and mushrooms, but also to dark (the dark forest). At dark, I think ghostly and scary. Spooky I have divided into witches and ghosts. And that's how I came to write the story about Halloween. Storm I associate with brainstorming, storming in, but also of course with the weather. And so you get more and more branches in your mind map, which bring you to new ideas. I will post below the mind map of the theme autumn storm (hopefully it's a clear picture).

Below the link to the story that emerged from the mind maps of the theme autumn storm.
