#DUIVENTIL 😍 This afternoon (30-7-2020) it was very nice cycling weather and I took that opportunity with both hands. You are on the road and then come across everything: like this beautiful #minihuisje in Rouveen.
Rouveen (Lower Saxon: Roevène) is a village in the Dutch municipality of Staphorst. In 2019 the village had more than 4,020 inhabitants. Together with the village of Staphorst, Rouveen is a typical example of ribbon construction, which has a total length of about 8 kilometers along the Oude Rijksweg and ends on the south side at the Lichtmis.
The village has its own song: Bee the big water tower.
The reformed church is located in the center of the Kerkplein. There are also several other churches of Protestant church. The village has local middlemen for daily needs, there are no large chains located.
Originally, Rouveen was more western than today. As a result of peat excavation, the sounding peat soil and the resulting marshy soil, the inhabitants moved to higher areas. Due to the continuous winding at Rouveen, the village was increasingly distant from the Zwartewatersklooster. Therefore, in 1282, the monastery was granted permission to establish a church in Rouveen. The church arose on the present-day Schoolland. Because the settlement continued in the following years, the village has been moved twice in the east direction.

Mini-house or Dovecote?
