#crafting El primer paso, como en la mayoría de ramas de Bellas Artes, es componer nuestra figura mental plasmándola en un boceto. De este dibujo iremos tomando prestados fragmentos para darle volumen.
Algunos artistas prescinden del boceto en papel y optan por ir creando libremente sobre el barro. Para ello hacen una maqueta en tres dimensiones en una escala inferior de lo que posteriormente será la obra. Lo recomendable es que, hasta que cojamos soltura modelando, pasemos por ambos procesos.
Después debes seleccionar cantidad de barro. Lo más normal es que hayamos comprado un bloque muy grande. Para partir un fragmento lo mejor es utilizar un hilo de alambre para cortar un cuadrante. Luego podemos ir añadiendo nuevos trozos sobre la pieza.
