#crafting The first step, as in most branches of Fine Arts, is to compose our mental figure by capturing it in a sketch. From this drawing we will be borrowing fragments to give it volume.

Some artists dispense with sketching on paper and choose to create freely on the clay. To do this, they make a three-dimensional model on a lower scale of what will later be the work. It is recommended that, until we become more comfortable modeling, we go through both processes.
