Mother's Day Pendant of Popsicle Sticks

Mother's Day falls every year on the second Sunday in the month of May. Even though your mother says she doesn't need anything on this day, she'll really love it if you make something for her. Do you want to do something for your mother, but you don't know what? Maybe this pendant is for you! The pendant is made of 22 ice sticks and 8 paper straws. With a nice piece of ribbon you can quickly make this pendant with the letters MAMA. Decorate the letters with glitter stones, flowers, pompoms, stickers or other ornaments, just what you like!

Below you will see step by step how to make the pendant. It's very easy and you do not need to cut sticks. With adhesive tape and all slime you can make the decoration easy and you have a nice attention for mom!

The chuned sticks are already colored so bought. If you have sofa sticks, paint them first with acrylic paint. The letter M has 6 sticks, the letter A has 5 sticks. Stick 2 sticks together with adhesive tape, do this in total 8x. Turn them over so that the adhesive tape gets to the back. Then glue the letters like the sample photo and allow to dry well.

To get the same distance between the straws with each letter, you can use a “support”: put them between 8 sticks and “fix” them with two sticks, so that the straws do not roll away. Glue the contact points with glue, and then put the letter on top. Have patience now, that you let the glue dry first! Put all the letters like this, then the first letter is solid so you can decorate it already.

We used gemstones here to decorate the letters. First put all the droplets on the letter, and then with 1 (slightly wet) finger, place the decorations one by one on each drop.
