Motorcycle vacation
When I look at this picture of the engine, there are all kinds of memories going through my head that make me laugh. So good memories...
That's just how I get a laugh when I see my helmet.
My father and my sister rode motorbike andfor the one who went on the back there were a pair of helmets. Not exactly fitting, but anyway, you had something on your head if you wanted to come.
When I met Cees, I went behind for a while with the helmets that didn't fit so well. Cees had two serious accidents, so he was fierce against bad sitting doppies. So I had to have a good, really fitting eggcup in my hayloft.
In the motorcycle shop I immediately picked up the biggest one: because yes, I have a big head, right? Well, my mouth may be big, so my orb isn't. I didn't need 62 inches, like Cees, but I could do it with 53 inches, an xs.
It was such a small size, they did not have in stock, the thing had to be ordered.
The next Friday I had to play the shopping night and Cees came to get me. He would pick up my new doppie on the way - then I could put it on right away.
He was that beautiful. Beautiful shiny red, no scratch on it, all brand new, straight from the factory.
I looked at my new helmet and tried to put it on.
But the thing did not fit!! No matter how hard I pushed and pulled, the thing just did not go on! I had fitted a show model - one that had been put on and off many times. This was never set up yet, he was still stiff and did not give up at all.
Cees grabbed his silk balaclava (your helmet will sink easier and your hair will not become static) and let me put on that thing. Then he put the beautiful, red, shiny eggshell on my head and gave a big slap on the top.
So, that sat!
I didn't have a panic attack yet. I had that little girl on, but how was I supposed to be freed from it?!??
Cees said it would be easy - I just held on to that.
