Mountain tour. A day to refuge du Chatelleret
On our trip from La Bérarde to refuge du Chatelleret, we decide on the Passerelle du Plaret Gény to take a stroll, which means even more climbing. It goes along long hairpin bends that at times give us the impression of walking further away from our destination. Fortunately they return to waterfalls in time so that after a few hundred meters we still reach the Cascades de Plaret Gèny. The sky is far from bright blue and at the waterfall the coolness of the splashing water overtakes us. We enjoy the beautiful panorama, the loud bubbling of the water and the grey turnip (Senecio incanus), evergreen saxifraga paniculata) and fat leaf (Pinguicula vulgaris).
If we descend a little after the waterfall, the real plant fun begins. The arnica montana bites off the tip with its typical rosettes and the beginning flowering. Then follow the vanilla and pale orchis (Nigritella nigra and Orchis pallens), yellow alpine anemone (Pulsatilla alpina), the sickle gold screen (Bupleurum falcatum) and the large yellow spheres of the Trollius Europeaus.
