This article is written from the perspective of a right-handed guitar player (that would be me). But the mechanics of it should work just the same for left-handed players. Simply substitute the words left and right for the opposite ones when the occasion arises.

One of the most frustrating aspects of being a novice guitar player (other than the very sore fingertips!) is that, for a while, it can feel like none of your efforts are really paying off.

You work hard at learning the notes and practising the scales, going over them again and again, but at times you find yourself wondering if you'll ever be able to go from plucking individual strings to entertaining your family and friends by playing an actual song on the guitar from start to finish.

On this post, I'll share with you some useful tips and tools that will help you build up your guitar-playing skills in no time.
