Music of all times
Neance wrote a while back ' The musical part of your brain... '. In this she called on us to also give a glimpse into our own musical brain. As promised in my response at the time, I do so - now that the Top1000 of all time is going to keep the mind busy again - on this issue.

My father was a music teacher, choir singer and conductor. That music plays a role in my life is therefore almost self-evident.
Looking back on my life so far, I end up with a diversity of musical memories. To begin with, there are the tunes of TV series, such as Swiebertje, Pipo the clown and the Fable newspaper - Yes.
My father sang among others in the Ritmeester choir in Veenendaal. After a merger, this is now called the Veensingers. He once sang a solo in Nocoj pa o nocoj - Yes. That song I choose from this genre in the musical part of my brain.
Another song I learned from him in elementary school. I choose it here as a symbol of the Christian faith, which plays such a big role in my life. It is a tribute to the Names Giver of that faith, Jesus Christ. And then I refer to the beautiful song ' You be the glory' - Yes.
