My bumblebee loves white nettle
My loyal readers already know that, due to circumstances, I'm keeping a tree bumblebee in captivity because she is no longer able to fly. So I also provide her with fresh flowers and plants every day that I can find in nature. Unsprayed and untreated specimens, without harmful pesticides.
If you are not yet aware of my bumblebees story, you can HERE reading.
From dandelion to white dead nettle
Of course, it took some time to find suitable flowers and plants because my knowledge about bumblebees was not (yet) that extensive. But now I'm learning new things about these extraordinary little creatures every day. At first, I noticed that my bumblebee was mainly found on dandelions. So I made sure that there were fresh dandelions in her habitat every day. Recently, I came across white nettle. After some research, it became clear to me that these flowers are also very suitable for bumblebees.
And yes, just installed and my bumblebee is already on, under, in,. It's really cute to see. I haven't been able to take a nice sharp picture of it yet, but it looks very much like this one below.
