My holiday in Mahdia, Tunisia
It has been a while since I have been in Mahdia, this was in 2006 and after a long thought I decided to share this with you. This because I really like it myself and hopefully you will like this blog post as much as I do?

Mahdia is a port town located on the Mediterranean Sea of Tunisia. A small seaside resort, which should especially have tourism. I myself stayed in hotel that was based on all inclusive. So far, that was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I have no idea what the name of this hotel is anymore. It was a 4 star hotel, which was not much to notice.
The hotel was mostly filthy and I've never eaten so badly as I did in that hotel. I made the best of it, because mainly you sleep there and you are not there during the day anyway. Although it is nice to spend 2 days, during your stay you just have to do nothing and just enjoy the sun, sea and beach.
Almost all the staff I had to deal with, I just tipped and that saves a lot. At least I had friendly people around me, a clean table every day when I ate there and more importantly, a hotel room that was clean. I even got clean sheets every day, something I don't do at my house and I didn't have to. Clean towels, which in my opinion is also quite normal. Unfortunately, I heard from other guests that this was not the case for everyone.

All the expenditure I spent in Tunisia was a quarter of the tip I spent at the hotel. This was every 20 dinars (€6.60) to the cleaning lady and then another 50 dinars (€16.50) to the other staff who worked in the hotel. This is not easy for me, because you have to remember that their monthly wages are about 450 dinars, which is equivalent to about €150 per month.
