My Lechosa crops
It is known by a different name depending on the country, here in Venezuela we know it as Lechosa, in other parts papaya, papayón, bomb fruit, olocotón, papayo, or mamón.
Features
Milky or Papaya is a plant with an unbranched hollow trunk that can exceed 10 meters in height, although in crops it usually does not exceed 25 meters.
The alternate leaves accumulate at the upper apex of the trunk and have a more or less marked palmified appearance, with large overlapping elongated lobes; As we said, they are reminiscent of fig leaves.
It produces male, female and hermaphroditic flowers, the latter being the easiest to distinguish because of their five-pointed star shape. The male flowers grow on long peduncles, culminating in clusters of between 15 and 20 small flowers.
