Myths and Legends: The Mula Woman
This is one of the legends that runs through the peoples of our great country #Venezuela , it is said that it occurred in the regions of Barinas, there lived in the nineteenth century a very poor family consisting of 6 members (3 males, 1 female and the 2 parents) who owned certain crops and animals that because of their situation they could not sustain, this worsened when the father became seriously ill.
Because of the wars waged in the area, the army was in need of recruiting men, so they arrived at the family home, with promises of a better future for them and for their family the 3 boys enlisted.
The father's illness was progressing and knowing the outcome of it, he asked his wife to sell what she had and go to the city in search of a better quality of life, she did not agree to live there until her husband expiated his last breath.
Fulfilling the wishes of her husband sold everything, the daughter wanted to travel to the city of Caracas, but the mother decided that they would go to Guanare, without pleasure the daughter accepted, the days passed waiting for the date to start the trip, the night before this the daughter without hesitation took half the money collected and left to the destination that initially fixed. Arriving in Caracas, he got a job in a restaurant from a foreigner.
The days passed and the young woman's economic situation improved considerably, despite having her mother and siblings in her thoughts, she did nothing to know about them because she wanted to erase the idea of being a peasant girl; the years passed and one day she went to eat in the restaurant her mother, is without the slightest knowledge that her daughter worked in it, at to see the daughter to her mother feelings created a whirlwind of confused ideas about her future with her you lie down, the young woman to avoid that made the decision to run to her mother accusing her of wanting to eat without paying.
