I have a few very sensitive children; when I let them put on something I just bought, they get rid of the itch. Rashes, itching... it shows that the dyes used in clothing are not good for humans.
This is one of the reasons I like to give them second-hand clothes: this has often been washed frequently, so there is no chance that they suffer from the paint anymore. That it is also sustainable to reuse clothing many times - that of course also counts enormously.
