The amount of forest in Nepal has almost doubled since the adoption of a crucial forest law in 1993. Research funded by NASA shows that 26 percent of the country consisted of forest in 1992. In 2016, this had already risen to 45 percent. The forests are managed by local communities, which are partly dependent on them, perhaps this makes the difference. #bossen #Nepal #biodiversity
