New Wave (The Venezuelan Bossa Nova)

There is a little-known genre of music originating in my country (Venezuela) which is the New Wave...
Hearing it for the first time the first thing that comes to mind is Bossa Nova , a Piano maybe and a good cup of coffee somewhere in Rio de Janeiro enjoying the shores, but suddenly ... It feels something different.
It “different” is our essence, because it not only contains broad features of Bossa Nova if not also broad features of Joropo (Another of our native genera) creating a unique blend in harmony, melody and rhythm which is united by a compass of 6/8 or 3/4 a harmony with great influences of Jazz and a crazy and very marked rhythm.
Despite not being such a popular genre have created great compositions on this genre, and even classics of music have been created Venezuelan (Many times not knowing it was Onda Nueva!) between them we can see Suddenly , Highway , Quinta Anauco and more!
In addition to the compositions properly made in New Wave also the various teachers, including the most predominant, Aldemaro Romero , have been able to prodigiously make classical versions of Venezuelan music to this genre.
Without more to say, I invite you to take a tour of this beautiful, unique and unknown genre
