Creative with newsprint, it's very easy. And it costs almost nothing.

Actually, it doesn't need an explanation.

  • Cut out shapes from newsprint, it does not have to be very tight and neat.
  • Stick it on paper.
  • Color in with markers with a thick tip. Don't use whole opaque markers, it's nice if you still see the newspaper text through.
  • I pasted the paper with a simple stick (Pritt/Lero/Stanger). Draw lines with black marker.
  • Finally, you paste some decorations on your painting to your liking. E.g.. golden stars, rhinestones, sparkles, etc or do you make some sun rays with yellow marker, to make your crocus bloom nicely.
