Night Books is a terribly tense horror film, but also a family one. Nightbooks sits very firmly in the horror category, but it's also clearly made for families. Night Books is a 100% horror movie, but Night Books is also great for family viewing. One thing to note about Night Books is that despite being a horror movie, it is aimed at children and families. As a children's horror movie, The Night Books hit a lot of the right places. Night books are not suitable for all children, even with grades. I would recommend Night Books for kids 10 and up, but you can get younger if they like the horror genre. [Sources: 1, 11]
    
Kids under 14 can definitely watch Nightbooks, but parents should be aware that Nightbooks has some very scary elements for kids. While it can be a bit scary for young kids, Night Books is the perfect movie for the whole family to curl up under the covers, laugh and jump all the way. Nightbooks combines a chilling story with heart to create a must-see movie this Halloween season. The Night Book has some dread jumps, some really creepy moments, and even some strong horror elements that come into play in the third act. We don't find out why Alex is so upset until the film's climax, one of the few mysteries at the heart of The Night Book that will keep viewers emotionally involved in the horrors that follow the film's climax.
