Hello everyone,
Just another piece of blog from our lives.
Our youngest son is 4 years old and has TOS (language development retardation) and we still didn't know what kind of school he should go to.
Many studies had not yet been completed and that was waiting for, because because of the Covid19, everything only took longer and longer, which we as parents were not happy with.
We already knew that regular education was really not going to be because he has that TOS. Only he now had to undergo the investigations which school it was going to be.
A special school where a lot of TOS children sit on and where education would be more meant for his speech. Or would he be able to go to special education, where our otherwise two children are also on.
Special education that Charlene and Jayden are on would be very practical for us, then we do not have to go from one clean to another, so that's what we preferred to go because at special education he could get support in his language development and we could also join our. remain own speech therapy. We as parents would like that much better.
Finally, in April, all investigations ended and then we got someone from Kentalis who had to give advice on which school they would advise, but yes, that also took a very long time.
But no one took into account that we have a little man in the house here who really wants to go to school and so really says every morning in the car when we brought charlene and Jayden to school, says Mama, I also want school. Your mother's heart breaks at such a moment, because you can't tell him when he's finally allowed to go to school. He does have speech therapy twice a week, but that's different from school and that's just not fun. And little guy who wants so badly and is still no clarity about and who has been 4 and a half years and is still at home, that's just not fun. Every day, we have it to do with Milano. He wants to go to school, but it still can't. His bag has been ready for a while because they always sides that it could now go fast. Well not so.
Last week finally the advisory interview:
Finally, the advisory conversation and the special education that our otherwise two children were on was also directly included. As parents, we got a little hope again. A little hope that Milano would finally be able to go to school after the Christmas break. So that he can also make boyfriends/girlfriends and play wonderfully with kids his age. But unfortunately, everything seemed to be less true.
That kentalis woman said that Milano was too good for the TOS school, especially for children who had a language development backlog.
Milano has progressed quite a lot within six months, so he would no longer be able to go to that school. Normal basic education does not become him for him, she, because he is too bad for that. So the only option is the Special Education that Charlene and Jayden are also on. But yes, there came the answer, they don't have room for Milano sooner than only after the Summer holidays. Special education is currently full and they cannot realize even more classes, be it that special education woman.
Conclusion, so Milano still can't go to school until the summer vacation. He's been home for more than half a year. This mama likes it, but I also know very well that it's not good for him to have to wait so long.
I have said now that I can now make a countdown calendar, but it will be very long for him.
Special education wanted to get started immediately so that the TLV application for special education was already assessed, because that too has to happen, because if you don't get TLV, he can't go to special education.
You can check that everything is really still unscrewed. No certainty at all yet and a sad man who is still not allowed to go to school.
Sometimes I sometimes wonder how it should end even further with this world. First, it takes so long in connection with Covid19 and now we have the problem that special education is simply full because children are simply delayed in learning because of Covid19 they have not been able to attend school education.
This mom is therefore a little quiet and am still figuring out everything to see that Milano can go to school soon.
A school where he is accepted for who he is. He is also a child and he should also be able to enjoy and play.
Of course, I do more than enough with him, but you'll hear when a child is really ready to go to school.
And in doing so, he really has to go to school after the summer vacation because with 5 years he is compulsory to school so then it will have to and then I really hope that everything will be arranged.
It brings a lot of stress for us and that's not always nice to say so. The children feel that too, and that is not the intention at all.
So this was another part of our daily life. It's not easy for us at all, but writing helps me a little to let go. And who knows, there are people here who have done exactly the same thing.?

I totally understand that he really wants to go to school
isn't there somewhere a temporary place or does he find that too much hassle (what I get)
