No more World Girls' Day

October 11 was World Girls' Day and it really shouldn't be the case.
After all, there is no World Boys' Day either.
And yet, every year on October 11, we draw extra attention to girls.
This is necessary, because millions of girls around the world are treated unevenly.
Not allowed to go to school.
Should get married if they are still children themselves.
They are not in control of their own bodies and lives.
Just because they are who they are.
young. And woman.
This is crying out for change.
And that is what Plan International fights for every day.
A fight with weapons such as education and protection.
Help is desperately needed, even though girls and young women are anything but helpless.

A new generation of girls has emerged.
A generation that sets change in motion.
And we can help them do that. Girl by girl.
Give her a voice and she'll make it heard.
Give her a stage and she'll show herself.
Give her chances and she'll make a difference.
Give her wings. And she will fly.
Give girls a life of their own. Let them learn. Let them lead.
Because a world where no one is disadvantaged is a world that moves forward. #girls #tuition World Girls' Day
