Perfection.
Striving for perfection is not entirely ok, in my opinion.
In any case, I'm quite done with it.
Every time I let myself be fooled
and I catch myself fighting uncomfortably.
Suddenly, I get a feeling that I don't like, and a wise voice speaks softly, about energy that has been lost.
Why so often better, why so often more.
Why never enough and perfection gets all the credit.
We humans seem to have a hard time stopping.
Everything seems to be right down to the last detail.
Is it true
that everything has to be so perfect?
No one likes “walking on toes”.
It causes stress and sometimes even feelings of failure.
Your goal has almost been reached and then suddenly it sucks.
Your goal has almost been reached, all that remains is a very small piece,
but is everything lost because something has to be perfect?
No what a nonsense, I certainly don't see it like that.
I realize that just below that limit, life offers so much more.
It teaches you to accept and that you can be satisfied.
Even if it isn't finished yet, or it's still so small.
Even though it doesn't meet the standards you're told.
No, without perfection, you're also in a good mood.
For me, perfection is: living happily within your own boundaries and not striving for someone else's wishes.

Ik ben jaren geleden gestopt met alles perfect willen doen. Dat vreet zo en juist dan krijg je het niet perfect. Dat is mijn ervaring. Sinds ik perfectie heb losgelaten, ben ik minder gestresst.
