'Nothing ends up' is about Marijn and Yara, two sixteen-year-old expecting their first child. From the first moment they talk about the pregnancy, they are told one comment a thousand times: “Nothing will end up from you”. But Marijn and Yara think differently about that.

It is the first book in the H4C series. “Nothing ends up” is Alice Bakker's fourth book, published by Godijn Publishing. It's a Young Adult book with 206 and it was published in 2021

At first, I had my doubts about the book slightly. I mainly thought it would be written from the boy's perspective and I wouldn't be able to move into the main character. But the opposite has been proven. The book has a change in perspective between Marijn and Yara, which is very nice. That way, you will get to know how the young expectant parents are in it and what they all experience.

In the book read the entire nine months of pregnancy and part after birth. It's not a very thick book, so you're going through those months pretty quickly. As a result, time jumps are made. Despite the fact that sometimes there is time between chapters, you don't have the idea that some of the story is missing. It's a good running story.

I think the book gives a good idea of what it can be like as teenage parents. I don't have any experience with it myself, but through the book you can make a good show of how it would be. Many negative reactions often come to you, that you have nothing for each other and have made a mistake, while sometimes it can also be a conscious choice and that everything is for each other. We often judge without thinking any further. In this book you'll also read about those prejudices and the remark and how the teenage parents plan to address and how things are going between the two of them.
Despite the fact that it is a good running story, I sometimes had the idea as if jumps were made in the chapter after a few days or maybe weeks further. That was sometimes not clear to me. As a result, I had to read a bit back occasionally.

The best drivers are ashore. Indeed, one judges without knowing details. Nice review.
