#yoorsnovember Saint Cecilia patron saint of musicians was a martyr portrayed in the fifteenth century by artists of the time, always playing harp or other musical instruments.
That is why she has been named patron saint of musicians because of her link with musical art. United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) established 22 November as World Music Day, in honor of St. Cecilia, whom Pope Gregory XIII declared her Patroness of Musicians in 1584.
It was in Edinburgh in 1695 when it was first celebrated this day and later was held in other countries such as Germany, Spain and France .
Brazil was the first country in America to celebrate every November 22 the musician's day, then in 1919 and 1920 and other countries of the American continent also began to celebrate that day.
This day is a tribute to all those who in some way or another relate and know about music.
