In the future, we may be able to adapt animals so that their organs, tissues and cells are suitable for transplanting to humans. But what do we actually think of that? That's what the donor animal dialogue is about.
It is the wet dream of many scientists to open “organ farms” in the future and use pigs and other laboratory animals to solve the shortage of suitable human organ donors. Toxicologist and Animal Rights campaign coordinator Jen Hochmuth: “Experienters try to tell us time and time again that we can't do without animal testing. As a result, animals are reduced to disposable parts. These malpractices are not only barbaric, they are completely unnecessary and even dangerous to public health because transplants from animals to humans increase the risk of new zoonoses such as corona.”
