Once saved always saved?

A question to Christians. Do you think that a person once saved can lose their salvation? just a thought. Paul writes that faith without works means nothing. Thus by my understanding, salvation is a free gift from God so that no man can boast about it, you don't have to work for it. But you have to work to keep it. In Hosea 4, God says because we have forgotten Him, He will forget us. So to forget God you had to know Him in the first place.
It takes work to do the will of the Father, As Jesus put it "Not all who call on my name saying Lord, Lord shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but those who do the will of the Father!" Doesn't that speak volumes? Please let me know your thoughts and stay blessed!

@Daily My dear I refrain from calling myself a Christian due to the many sects of Christianity! Thus I am Yisra'el a child of the Most High God. Isaih 61 says that God puts His Spirit in me, thus if His Spirit is in me then I am to love what God loves and hate what God hates. But all this I will cover in future posts.

In Matthew Jesus says that He didn't come to replace the Law but to fulfill it, He added that not one dash or dot in the Law will change until heaven and earth passes away. Thus, the law of the Old Testament stands, the do's and the don'ts. This again is confirmed in Hebrews, in the new testament.
Thus in the Old testament there are sins that are an abomination to God, and the wicked that practice those sins are punished.
Now in my understanding of the rule, an abomination is something you hate or detest. Please mote that what I was saying did not mention people but that which God hates, the actions of people. In the new testament it tells me that after I have corrected a person in their actions and they choose to continue in their ways, I should cut them off - as God puts it in Hosea 4:6 Forget them! So here is a question, if the Spirit of God has entered you when you were saved by accepting Christ, doesn't that mean that you would have to change ways from the wicked path to the path of the righteous?
