Orange fever...

It's back at the end of April and then it colors across the river Maas
very striking orange again. No, it's not yet another sandstorm
passing through a jet jet and backlash of mother nature from the Sahara to
overblowing here.
It's almost something much more scary, because not only are orange flags flying and see
you in every godforsaken alley a free market with people shrouded in orange attire
. whether or not with beer in the hands. No, even the power supply suddenly has a
orange touch. The tomcats have an orange layer, the same for the Bossche
bulbs and there are also orange drinks like Oranjebitter.
As a foreigner you soon get the idea that collective mass history has broken out and WHO is with their hands in the hair about this very local epidemic. there is no medicine against. At the bargain, it also comes back annually, just like the flu.
Well, I'll tell you what it's going on with the Dutch. their King's birthday is celebrated all over the country, in great and ORANGE. because that's pretty much the national color with our northern neighbors.
And we Belgians, what do we do. We shake our heads with a lot of confusion and just take part (here at the border anyway) in this happy folk festival. After all, this collective craziness only lasts up to 24 hours.

It always makes you happy when you see them busy, see all those orange, optimistic, happy colors waving everywhere and seeing them passing by your eyes in all kinds of shapes.
