I love to bake homemade cookies and that smell that remains all over the house.. In order not to always repeat the same recipes, we are always looking for new ways and flavors to surprise the little girl in the house and -let's admit it- to also enjoy the oldest freshly baked cookies.
The trick is to mix two different types of dough, so we'll have a double-flavored biscuit and doubly fun.!

ingredients
For 20-25 cookies
250 g of all-purpose flour
125 g of butter or cold margarine
125 g of sugar
1 egg
20 g bitter cocoa powder
How to make vanilla and chocolate spiral cookies
To begin we mix the flour with sugar, pour in the cold butter cut into cubes and crumble with the tips of the fingers (or the food processor yes, we have) until we get a kind of thick grit.
Add the egg and knead until a homogeneous mass is obtained.
We divide the dough into two, bring one of the halves to the fridge and add the cocoa to the other half kneading a little until a homogeneous color is obtained.
We also take to the fridge for 15 minutes.
After this time, we remove from the refrigerator and stretch the masses (each separately) on a baking paper.

We try to make two equal rectangles about 4 or 5 mm thick.
The thinner the dough, the more turns the spiral will have.
We place one on top of the other and with the help of the baking paper roll until a dough cylinder is obtained.
We wrap it with baking paper and bring it to the freezer for 15-20 minutes.
We remove from the freezer and with a sharp knife cut slices about 5 mm wide.
In the photo we can see two options: with thicker dough and rolled on the long side -less spiral turn- and thinner dough rolled by the short side -more spiral turns.
We place in a baking dish lined with paper, taking care that they are separated from each other (grow a little).
We bake in a preheated oven at 180° by approx.. 12 minutes until golden just at the edges.
We let cool on a rack and they're ready to eat!
