Now that the costume dramas are clearly on the rise, I am curious if Norway is the only country that is very divided about this.

Both series are based on the eponymous book series but where the entire Poldarkreeks can be seen for free on public television you need an extra package for Outlander.

As far as the book series is concerned, the entire Poldarkreeks in Norwegian is available in bookstores.
Outlander you will only find second-hand by auction the first four books in Norwegian, of those four books you will find the Norwegian ebooks of course but the paper versions are easy for 100-250euro per book. (You can buy the English versions at normal prices in the bookstore)

Personally I find the series very similar in atmosphere, although Outlander has that extra due to the time travel and the mindre subtile eyecandy.

The local library already has the ebooks available and have just started “under jegermånen” - first look, then read, so I am less disappointed in a film adaptation.

What about the current popularity of these series with you?
