Wemke was asked by the Kreadoe organization to give a live demonstration on facebook. And just like a few weeks ago, she asked on her page if her followers wanted to help start up, check if she can be seen and heard for example, and if everything is clearly visible. And then she would introduce people to encaustic art.

How fun is that! It was at a convenient time (for me), eight o'clock in the evening, and I was ready for it. Iron at the ready, because what could be more fun than painting together? So Wemke demonstrated and I painted along, meanwhile responding to viewers' questions, and responding to Wemke. So multitasking painting.

And oh, that was fun! And far too short!! Before I noticed it an hour had passed, I would have let Wemke go on all night! It's been a while since I'd just painted, and I noticed I missed it. There is always something else, the weather is too good, I have to work, I'm too tired, we have other things to do... and of course I am also quite a bit of a boil because of the happening around that virus. But I was reminded that sometimes you just have to grab the iron and the washing cubes, leave the place, and paint!

Painting along with Wemke I made the following three paintings, all 10x15.

Continued, I've gained renewed inspiration, so next week... beeswax week!
