Hey, yeah, something's going to happen. A supermarket chain in England with 800 stores in England, 14 in Spain, 23 in Ireland and some shops in some other countries has announced that this year no longer use palm oil in their own brand products. I think this is very good news. A few years ago, I came across an action group in the Bush in Arnhem, which was making people aware of the damage caused by palm oil production. Since then, I've been paying more attention to it in the supermarket. And indeed it is in a lot of products. So I try to choose as much as possible those products that it is not in.

But the fact that a supermarket releases its own brand of palm oil is absolutely fantastic. Hopefully other brands will follow this example as well. And as long as that does not happen, we as consumers can, of course, force producers to stop using palm oil and palm fat. Just don't buy it.

And if you've watched the Greenpeace video below, it might be even easier to stop buying these products.
