The pan flute
The pan flute consists of a series of tubes, which are originally sealed at the bottom. Each tube has its own tone due to the difference in length. In Peru, the Panflute is a traditional instrument. Blowing air into the top of the tubes creates the tones.
Pan flutes are made from bamboo, but also made of wood, glass and plastic
How to make a pan flute yourself
You will need: a small handsaw, 1.10 meters bamboo or PVC - tube, clay or tape, rope and sticks (or cardboard)
It comes pretty precise if you really want to make a good working pan flute. It's nice if you can find pieces of bamboo or wooden tube of the same diameter, but a pvc - tube also works fine! Please note that you measure the length very precisely and cut it off (with a small hand saw), to make the pan flute as pure as possible.
