The most famous pancake.

It wasn't Pancake Day that the famous French chef Auguste Escoffier served his Grand Marnier pancake, orange slices and caramelized butter sauce to the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII) in 1890. Nevertheless, this pancake eventually became world famous. Escoffier wanted to dedicate the tasty dish to the Prince of Wales, but he wanted the delicious pancake to be named after the young lady who accompanied him during his stay at London's Savoy Hotel. The Suzette crepe was born and you could find it on many menus from then on.

The biggest pancake.

The world record for the largest pancake is held by the United Kingdom; they baked a pancake with a diameter of 15 meters in 1994. This pancake weighed almost 3,000 kg and thus won a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.
