Party

December is the holiday month of the year.
First Santa Claus, then Christmas, and later old and new.
Now a few days of rest and then back on it.
Good food, drink, and fun out the New Year.
It's a party month, but there wasn't a party in it.
And a cozy gathering neither. It's been a weird year.
So that's why old and new feel to me, like hope just like so much.
Hope for a better year, a better future.
For me, old and new is a party in itself.
