Pippi Longstocking, who was she anyway?

Pippi Longstocking was a heroine for many.
And Pippi had her own Pippi Logic.

I've never done it before, so I think I can. I give every child, every human and myself a little Pippi traits to make life easier. There are many wise lessons in the episodes of #Pippi Longstocking.

The tough,Redheadgirl full of freckles and funny braids with huge shoes who lived with her monkey and horse in Villa Kakelbont. Who wasn't jealous of the free life of Pippi and her friends Tommy and Annika? Her father sailed at sea and her mother “lived” in heaven. Pippi had a wonderful life, always paid with gold coins, was super strong, and had mega superpowers. She is also lonely and would like to receive letters. She does this by writing a letter to her herself and then having it delivered and reading it herself with great surprise. She didn't go to school, but she knew a lot. Pippi really has a lack of authority. Everyone is equal to her. Pippi was opposed, quirky, creative, very independent, and never afraid. She saw an adventure in everything. She made every day a party. With Pippi, nothing was impossible.
She only did what she really liked!

What does Pippi do and can like:
- She can lift her own horse over her head.
- She can scare off crooks.
- She makes her own plane and flies it to Taka-Tuka-Land
- She's flying in a hot air balloon.
- She binds brushes under her feet to scrub the kitchen.
- She puts superglue on her hands and feet and ran upside down her house.
-She eats spaghetti with her hands and cuts it with scissors
— Pippi has a real lemonade tree

Hai Pippi Longstocking, Tollahe, Tollahopsasa.
Hai Pippi Longstocking, she does her own way.

How Pippi Longstocking originated
Astrid Lindgren (the author) invented fantastic stories for her daughter Karin that were so appreciated that she decided to write them down and offer them for publication.
The first book on Pippi Longstocking was published in 1945.

Karin Inger Monica Nilsson was born on May 4, 1959, and as a child she became world famous for her leading role in the television series Pippi Longstocking, following the stories ofAstrid Lindgren. Pippi's adventures were on TV from 1969 to 1973 but are still repeated worldwide so far.

Four films have also been released. Pippi Longstocking (1969), Pippi disembarks (1969), Pippi in Taka-Tuka Land (1970) and Pippi puts the place on stilts (1970).
Maybe nice to know the full name of Pippi is Pippilotta Viktualia Rullgardina Krusmynta Efraimsdotter Långstrump.

Think back. What did you learn from Pippi? And do you remember the name of Pippi's horse?

Big Decopatch Dog Cat
Most people know I'm a big cat lover. A friend gave me a paper-mâché cat a gift the other day! So nice to have that (next to the cat grass) on the windowsill! But of course I gave him (or her) nice colors first, you get that. Because I quite often Decopatch (pasting pieces of paper on all kinds of surfaces) I still had a lot of scraps of small pieces left of different paper designs. Perfect to cover my own motley cat! At least I am happy with it, he/she is sitting here at home in front of the window, looking out and it keeps an eye on all the neighborhood cats. Collect about 20 kinds of pieces of paper, from each color a little. But if you only have 2 or 3 colors (for example) then you can of course also! By first dyeing the cat white, the colors of the paper come to the fore much fresher. It is not necessary, but it is advisable to! The eyelets are cut out of a nice Decopatch sheet, which only has eyelets. Choosing is difficult, all the eyes are fun! The method is very simple: Tear small pieces of a lot of different colors of paper. In stages, glue the cat (or any other shape) with Decopatch glue. The glue is also lacquer, so when you grease a piece with a soft brush, you stick the piece of paper on it, and then you go over it with the same brush and glue.. The next piece is glued to it overlapping, and then you go over again with the same brush with glue. So you continue, until the whole shape is covered. Finally, apply another layer, using the same brush with glue/lacquer. It's a bit of a job, because you also want to divide the colors a bit. That gives quite a nice effect, though? I don't have a lot of step-by-step pictures, I was so focused that I forgot. Decopatching is very relaxing, you forget the time when you are creative.. :) The large papier-mâché cat is 25cm high and you could of course also give it a collar with fringes and a bell, or give some bows, rhinestones, or one smooth color. I like busy, cheerful colors myself, it can't be fur enough. And you? How would you pimp this cat?? I'm curious! More info Check out the hundreds of designs you can choose from!
