I am fortunate that life has not been smooth sailing for me.

A great teacher, harsh life has imparted many invaluable lessons to me.

At a recently attended मुशायरा (poetic symposium), the following composition of mine, embodying the precious teachings of life, was applauded much.
I would like to share it with my friends.

Meaning of Urdu/Arabic words :
सहर : dawn, शादमान : happy

Translation :

(a) Though there is darkness all around, one should always light a lamp of hope. The new dawn will surely appear, one should create the congenial environment for it.

(b) A river, howsoever beautiful, loses it's identity when it mingles with the mighty sea.
Likewise, if you want your self-respect to remain intact, don't supplicate unnecessarily before the rich and proud.

(c) This world is full of deaf people who would not hear your sobs. In this world, blind persons reside. It is therefore wise to conceal your tears.

(d) If you want to remain happy forever my friend, then you have to retain some innocence in your heart.
