Easy knitting pattern for a scarf

If you want to knit a scarf quickly, a scarf in a rib pattern is the easiest thing. A rib pattern just means straight knitting. It can hardly be easier.! And it also delivers a nice tough scarf. 

If you want something more, you can knit a scarf in the false patent stitch. Not difficult at all, because you only knit straight and purl stitches in a fixed order.
