Preamble...
North of Zulia State, on a small island called Toas, there I was born, grew up and still alive in this small corner of Venezuela. This rock is located on Lake Maracaibo, a few meters from the island of San Carlos de la Barra.
Isla de Toas witnessed the birth of the homeland, where foreigners and natives fought for this great territory; for the height of its mountains it was considered as a viewpoint that served the natives of that time, to observe in the distance any danger of war that was approaching.
It is the birthplace of poets and singers, who inspired by the attractiveness of their landscapes make up poems that manifest their natural beauty.
The streets of this island are full of tradition and culture, memory that until recently were tourist attractions and room for the visitor; the beauty of its beaches and the harmony of the atmosphere invited tourists to stay forever in this distant place.
