Yesterday was my neighbour's prom. In Bulgaria, every high school organizes a prom to celebrate the upcoming graduation of the students. The prom is usually held in a fancy restaurant with music and games, but before that, the students gather in public places or at school where they take photos with relatives and friends and showcase their formal outfits.
Days before the prom, the school organizes a concert as a farewell gesture to the graduates. The concert can be held at school or the theatre.
The graduation ceremony is held in June after the students receive their results from their final exams. It is usually held at school. Not everyone can attend it, sadly. Most graduates have already started a summer job and cannot be absent from work.
My neighbour graduated from a school where he studied German. He has decided to apply to Universities in Germany.

A very good tradition. The school were my children have been did it too when they had that age, I don't know if they still do.
