Protecting pollinators is critical
Pollinators are nature's heroes. They play a critical role in plant reproduction and fruit and seed production, making them invaluable for both ecosystems and the human food supply.
What are pollinators?
Pollinators are organisms that help transfer pollen from the male parts of flowers (stamens) to the female parts (stigmas). This process, pollination called, is essential for the sexual reproduction of many plants. Without pollination, many plants would be unable to produce fruits and seeds, which threatens not only their survival, but also that of countless other species that depend on these plants.
