I was just wondering. The big orange pumpkins. They are healthy and quite easy to grow. Sometimes they are green, sometimes yellow. In weird shapes, with weird crazy warts or just smooth.

What do they belong to? Are they with the vegetables? Or are they with the fruit? In order not to look stupid, I looked it up. Because most of the time you see them in vegetables, but sometimes also in the fruit. And it's also a fruit, isn't it? Like the cucumbers, eggplants, tomatoes and peppers?

Fortunately, I could find the answer quickly. The pumpkin belongs to the vegetable, but it is afruit-crop, i.e. a fruit of the plant. A fruit vegetable, which is eaten as a vegetable. Not every fruit is fruit. But every fruit is a fruit!
