Pura Ulun Danu Bratan also literally means: the “source temple of Lake Beratan”

History

Pura Ulun Danu Bratan was built in the 17th century to worship the most important three unit for Hindus. These are the gods Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. The temple was also built to honor the goddess of the lake, Dewi Danu. Due to its lakeside location and the relatively cool climate in the area, Pura Ulun Danu Bratan is a frequently visited location.
