What does a perfect day look like to you ?
We all know how our days actually went like the following day. Most people do not have the time or opportunity to make sure everything goes as planned. Also sometimes something comes in the way, and your whole schedule is trampled on.
To me a perfect day looks like this:
- In the morning eating a good breakfast. Most of the times I can't achieve this as I wake up too late.
- Work out early in the morning. Usually i can't bring myself to wake up before 9 AM, so it becomes very difficult to achieve this one.
- Finishing everything i have to do for my work before 5 PM. Usually i end up overworking late at night, I also perform better at night as my brains are the clearest after 5 PM. Talk about being unlucky!
- Eat dinner before 8 PM. Trying to keep up with the rhythm of intermittent fasting is difficult. As combining all the steps above, usually ends up in me eating dinner after 9 PM, because there's no time to cook earlier.
- Play a video game the rest of the evening with friends. Most of the times I am online later or earlier than my friends, so we miss each other in the video game.
- Work on my hobby project every day for at least an hour. Time flies by so quickly, this one I never have time for. I would like to be able to do this everyday, but usually it only happens in the weekends
- Sleep before 11 PM. That is very difficult to achieve as my schedule is very busy and I end up going to bed at 1 or 2 AM
How do I achieve all this?
Basically waking up earlier is the key. Implementing that in my current lifestyle will be difficult as I perform better at night. Therefore should I risk my quality of work by waking up earlier to increase my productivity? That is a question I can only answer myself !

Of course I also have other perfect days to wish for but I have a lifetime to try
My perfect day: the family is healthy and well again complete. Together in nature. Tasty lunch together (breakfast often does not go together), varied. Sitting in the flow. To do list for that day can tick off.
Then I greet downstairs the dog that we leave outside after our bathroom visit and let his pee and so do in our garden.
Then there's the perfect breakfast with a couple of coffee cakes and tasty steaming coffee to get to the living.. Meanwhile, we read the morning paper on paper or digitally on the cell phone, usually my wife holds the paper paper first. Check Yoors to see if we haven't won (or lost) a challenge, although you never lose if your friends allow Yoorsies.
Now that our stomach is satisfied again, we can take a steady walk of an hour or so or something more with Yuki, our American Akita. What enjoy what we see along the road and roadside. A number of horses, two donkeys, a lot of sheep and chickens and lots of beautiful flowers.
Back at home we may send a message before noon if something still needs to be retrieved or spend the rest of the time until noon on the laptop: writing, listening to music and so on.
In the afternoon some food and afterwards some work in the garden or go cycling if the weather permits. Yes, I'm retired and I don't have to go to work anymore, so that free time is quite easy.. Another day (outside the covid period) we go to the drawing academy and try to learn something or just artfully draw. After supper, can be hot or cold depending on whether we usually watch some TV before we walk the dog and go to sleep. Once a week with the choir to rehearse and so no TV but still have a drink for a long time and then go home. Until the next perfect morning.
•Wake up at 5:30 for early breakfast
• At 6:10 go to jogging and do some exercise and then take a bath
•Work at least until 5:00pm (although I really get out of my work at 7)
•practice drawing or music
•distract me by playing or watching some series
• Sleep before 11
Read a little bit to create a habit and in the afternoon be able to watch a movie (which I love to do)
And at night play some video games.
Although I could also say that spending a day outdoors in a green area I also like, spend a picnic.
I think most of the time I try to survive and far away from perfection.
After getting up at 5 am and getting ready for work
At the moment we live, I think getting to your home in health and being with your loved ones together at the table enjoying dinner is a perfect thing.

not having any discomfort of any kind, that day I would not like to be for people outside my family group
enjoy nature, in a pleasant climate
be with my wife and children enjoying that moment
