Queen Maxima's favorite cookies: alfajores
Whoever's birthday is a treat must have thought Queen Maxima. And so on her birthday she shared the recipe for her favorite cookies: alfajores .And, curious as I am, I naturally wanted to make this recipe once.
An important ingredient of alfajores is maizena (I myself think that 300 grams of cornstarch gives the biscuits a strange mouthfeel).I looked on the Internet and there are many different recipes for #alfajores .So made Sarena the biscuits also once in #heelhollandbakt .She used 100 grams of corn on 200 grams of flour.
Dulce the leche
This sounds more complicated than it is. #dulchedeleche is pretty simple to make. You will need: a can of condensed (sweetened) milk.Place the dense can in a saucepan with water.Make sure that the can is completely underwater.Bring the water to a boil, then leave for 3 hours on low heat.Check occasionally if the water level is still high enough. The tin must really be underwater, otherwise there is a risk of explosion! When the can has cooled completely, you will have a thick caramelly cream/paste.

TIP First remove the label so that it does not soak off.
