One could almost say that it is a painting made with Pointillism, a painting technique that was widely used at the end of the 19th century. This seems a bit like that, but then this is a lot easier to do! An easy name is dotten, you then make dots on paper or objects with, for example, the back of your pencil, stick or other objects that you can dip in the paint and then put dots along.

Because Saturday afternoon is often a craft afternoon, we decided to make a cheerful painting with the girls (both 10 years old). Because doting with cotton swab isn't done in just a minute, you'll need some time to dull this cute rainbow rabbit. Putting dots is super fun, but you need a little patience and perseverance!

If you're going to dotting with cotton swabs, it's best on a solid background such as canvas board or canvas cloth. On paper the whole bubble because of the wetness of the paint, so that's a waste of all your work! Below you can see the steps we have dotted. Are you dotting with us?
