#GOUDENREGEN 😍 The golden rain is a plant from the butterfly family that owes its name to the long hanging flower bunches. In the wild, the golden rain grows in Central and Southern Europe. Its height can reach 7 m. The whole plant, but especially the pods, contain a poisonous nicotine-like compound, cytisine. The tree was often planted in parks, gardens and along streets because of its ornamental value, but nowadays the species is planted less often because of this toxicity. By the way, the planted species are often hybrids.
